FLAT D was founded in 2017 by producer and director Mariana Gonzalez (B.F.A in Filmmaking from The School of VISUAL ARTS in New York (2013) and M.A in Screenwriting from The London Film School (2015). 

 

The company was born from an urge to tell untold Mexican stories and spotlight local unnoticed and meaningful splashes to turn them into films. Starting with FRACTAL, its first feature length film, FLAT D set off to become leader in the country’s landscape of film production. 

 

Our vision is to become benchmark in Mexico and to build bridges with national and international talent. We aim to break the status quo and fight against confirmation biases because we believe there are many Mexicos, many realities — and much richness everywhere and within.
